Wrestling Legend Sid Vicious Passes Away at 63
Retired professional wrestler Sid Eudy, better known in the ring as Sid Vicious, died on August 26, 2024.

Sid Eudy, famously known as Sid Vicious during his wrestling career, passed away on August 26, 2024, at the age of 63. This year has been a remarkable one for professional wrestling, with numerous debuts and memorable matches, but it has also been marked by sorrowful losses, including Sid's passing.
The Cause of Death:
Sid's youngest son, Gunnar Eudy, took to Facebook on August 26, 2024, to share the heartbreaking news of his father's death. Gunnar revealed that Sid had been battling cancer for several years.
"It is with great sadness that I share the news of my father, Sid Eudy's passing after a long and courageous fight against cancer," Gunnar posted on social media. "He was a man of incredible strength, kindness, and love. His presence will be deeply missed. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we navigate through this difficult time."
Sid Vicious: A Wrestling Icon
Born on December 16, 1960, Sid Eudy rose to fame through his impressive stints with both the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). He was known by various ring names, including Sid Justice, Sid Vicious, and Sycho Sid.
Throughout his legendary career, Sid was a six-time world champion, securing the WWF Championship twice, the WCW World Heavyweight Championship twice, and the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship twice. In addition to these titles, he also won the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship once, among other accolades.
Sid headlined numerous pay-per-view events for both WWF and WCW, including WrestleMania VIII and WrestleMania XIII in 1992 and 1997, respectively, and Starrcade in 2000.
His final WWE television appearance was on the Raw 1000 special on July 23, 2012. He wrestled his last match on August 5, 2017, where he defeated Paul Rosenberg at the GNW 10th Anniversary Supershow event.
Survived by Family
Sid Eudy leaves behind a loving family, including his wife of over 40 years, Sabrina Paige (née Estes), his sons Frank and Gunnar, and several grandchildren.
